Clinical Notes: increased bowel movements
History: The patient is living n Bangalore since 17 years. From February 2011 he had to take food from outside home and the bowel movements increased considerably, occasionally with blood. He took homeopathic treatments first and later he consulted allopathic doctors and did colonoscopy. It was diagnosed as ulcerative colitis- inflammatory bowel disease. His body weight was found reduced 5Kg/month. They suggested for surgery and steroid therapy. He had a history of eczema and got relief after ayurveda treatments. So he chose ayurveda treatments.His father had stomach CA.

Medicines at the time starting treatments:
1. Drakshadi kasayam 15ml added with 45 ml lukewarm water and Kutajaphanitam 1 all together to be taken in morning empty stomach & in evening 6PM
2. Mustarishtam 30ml added with Dadimashtakam churnam 1 tsp at noon and night after food.
3. Brahma Rasayanam 1 tsp taken at night bed time followed by a cup of boiled water
4. Ksheerabala oil to be applied on the head
5. Narayana Tailam to be applied on the body
